Nykaa Q2 FY27: Net Profit Triples to ₹101 Crore as Beauty Scales

The short answer
FSN E-Commerce Ventures, which operates Nykaa, reported consolidated net profit of about ₹101 crore for the September quarter of FY27 (Q2 FY27) — roughly a 207% year-on-year jump from about ₹33 crore a year earlier. Revenue from operations rose about 28% to ₹3,006 crore. Business Standard, The Economic Times and Inc42 reported the results on 4 November 2026, alongside plans to acquire an 82% stake in ethnic beauty brand Simply Nam.
Nykaa is no longer a pure “growth-at-any-cost” ecommerce story. This quarter is about operating leverage: beauty and fashion volume up, margins up, and profit compounding faster than sales.

The numbers that matter
Business Standard put net profit at ₹101.19 crore versus ₹32.98 crore a year ago, with sequential PAT up about 26.8%. H1 FY27 operating revenue was about ₹5,788 crore, up roughly 28.6% from ₹4,501 crore in H1 FY26 (Entrackr).

Beauty still pays the bills
ET Markets reported beauty GMV of ₹4,454 crore in Q2 FY27 across ecommerce, retail stores, eB2B and House of Nykaa brands. Beauty net sales value grew 28% YoY and beauty EBITDA rose 51%. The company said it launched more than 330 global, national and emerging beauty brands during the year, spanning France, Japan, South Korea, the US and India.
Gross margin expansion was linked to a rising contribution from the House of Nykaa portfolio and higher marketing income — owned brands and ads, not just marketplace take rates.
Fashion, quick commerce and the Simply Nam bet
Fashion continued to accelerate alongside beauty. On the delivery side, Nykaa Now — beauty and personal care in roughly 30–60 minutes — expanded to 15 cities, with a stated aim of more than 25 cities by end-FY27. Nykaa claims more than 1,000 marquee BPC brands on the service and an average order value about 3× the BPC category on general quick-commerce apps.
Separately, the company said it would acquire an 82% stake in Simply Nam, extending its owned-brand push in ethnic beauty and personal care. That is a classic Nykaa play: distribute everyone else's brands, then own more of the shelf.

Timeline
Q2 FY26: PAT about ₹33 Cr; revenue about ₹2,346 Cr.
Through FY27 YTD: 330+ beauty brand launches; Nykaa Now city expansion.
Q2 FY27 (quarter ended 30 Sep 2026): Revenue ₹3,006 Cr; PAT ~₹101 Cr; EBITDA ₹263 Cr.
4 Nov 2026: Results published; 82% Simply Nam stake announced in coverage.
Why profit tripled when sales only rose ~28%
Three mechanics show up in the filings coverage:
Gross margin +106 bps — mix shift toward owned brands and marketing income.
EBITDA margin +196 bps to 8.7% — operating costs grew slower than revenue.
Category strength — beauty NSV +28% with EBITDA +51%; fashion also accelerating.
That is the public-market story Nykaa needed after years of “path to profit” questions: show that incremental GMV drops through to the bottom line.
Lessons
Owned brands are the margin story in beauty ecommerce once distribution is built.
Quick commerce is a retention and AOV tool for Nykaa, not a race with Zepto on grocery SKUs.
Acquiring niche beauty labels (Simply Nam) compounds the House of Nykaa thesis.
Profit can outpace revenue when mix and opex discipline finally catch up to scale.
